The Life of KENNETH L FOSTER

Kenneth L. Foster, 64, of 4307 SW Ninth St. died Tuesday in Iowa Methodist Hospital of injuries suffered in an automobile accident July 4.  His wife, Doris Irene, 58, was killed in the accident.

The two-card accident was at a gravel road crossing on Highway 89 about a mile west of Madrid.

Mr. Foster, a bus driver for the Des Moines Transit Co., for 18 years, was born in Carlisle and lived in Des Moines 40 years.  He attended schools in Avon and the American Institute of Business.

Mr. Foster was a member of Park Avenue Presbyterian Church and Local Division 441 of the Amalgamated Association of Street and Electric Railway Employees.

Surviving are his son, Richard, of Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. Delores Rush, of Des Moines; mother, Mrs. Mary E. Foster, of Madrid; a brother, S.S. Foster, of Madrid and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Park Avenue Presbyterian Church, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
