The Life of SARAH B RUE
Sarah B. Rue, 70, of The Abbey died of complications of Alzheimer''s disease there Saturday. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Rue was born in Whitesides, MO, and had lived in Des Moines 50 years. She was retired from the housekeeping department at Des Moines General Hospital. She was a skilled baker and embroiderer.
Survivors include three daughters, Pamela Cruchelow and Patricia Bacon, both of Des Moines, and Rebecca Rue of West Des Moines; a son, David Sr. of Des Moines; three brothers, Charles Colbert of Illinois, Roy Colbert of Clarksville, MO, and James Colbert of Eolia, MO; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her husband, David, preceded her in death.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer''s Association.
