The Life of DONALD LEEROY BURCH
Donald Lee Roy Burch died August 7, 2003 in LeMars. A graveside service is Monday, August 11, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Highland Memory Gardens.
Donald was born June 16, 1924 in Lone Rock, IA. He attended school in Clive where he grew up. He had lived in Des Moines until 2000 when he moved to LeMars. Don worked for Ford Implement, General Motors, and as a custodian at Ankeny High School. His favorite pastime activities included country dancing, fishing, gardening, animals, and auto racing.
Don is survived by two daughters, Connie Sue Sandefer, St. Joseph, MO, and Betty Jean Brockett, Alton; two sons, Donald Lemmons, Paradise, CA, and Terry Lemmons, Bullhead, AZ; two stepchildren, April Baash, Ottuwa, KS, and Darald Findley, Des Moines; nineteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; four brothers, Harry Burch, Ankeny, George Burch, WI; John Burch, Branson, MO; and Bob Burch, TX; sister, Lucille Johanik, Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty and daughter, Sherry.
Visitation is Sunday 7 to 8 p.m. at Hamitlon''s Funeral Home near Highland Memory Gardens.
