The Life of HARRY L BURCH
Harry L. Burch, 74, died January 28, 2004 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. A memorial service will be held Monday, February 2 at 2 p.m. at Celebration of Christ, 530 E Broadway in Des Moines. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, February 1 at the Ankeny Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the visitation.
Harry was born near Burt, IA and had lived in Johnston most of his life. He was a dedicated husband of 52 years to Ellie. He was a US Navy Veteran and member of the Beaverdale VFW. He was an avid hunter and truly loved the outdoors and passed that on to his sons.
He is survived by sons, Dan L. Burch (Rhonda) of Ankeny and Bill J Burch (Pam) of Des Moines; daughter, Barbara J Lackershire of Springfield, MO; brother, John Burch of Missouri, Bob Burch of Texas and George Burch of Wisconsin; twelve grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preced in death by his wife, Ellie and daughter, Joyce Dow.
