The Life of MARGARET DORIS JOHNSON
Margaret Doris Johnson, 76, of 2537 Madison Ave. died of a respiratory ailment Tuesday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, and a memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, of which she was a member.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Chariton and lived in Des Moines more than 50 years. She was a former bookkeeper for Ruan Co.
Among survivors are her husband, Chester; two sons, Chet of Buhler, KS, and John of Des Moines; a sister, Mildred Stiles Alexander of Chariton; two brothers, TR Griffiths of Green River, WY, and John Griffiths of Raytown, MO; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church or the Arthritis Foundation.
