Funeral Monday for Mrs. West
Services for Mrs. May West, 91, of 1307 Pennsylvania Ave., will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.
Mrs. West died Thursday of a heart ailment at the Penn Avenue Nursing Home here. She had been ill four years.
Born in Mercer, Mo., she had owned a farm in Kansas and later moved to Des Moines, living here 55 years. She was a member of the Central Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Burkholder and Mrs. Ethel Willard of Des Moines; a son, Elder Arthur Quick, Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. Maud Fitch, Leon; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
