The Life of ORPHA E CAMPBELL MCCONNELL
Orpha E. McConnell, 85, of Urbandale Health Care Center, 4614 NW 84th St., Urbandale, died of cancer Thursday at Hospice Kavanagh House in Des Moines. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Westover Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. McConnell was born in Kent and had lived in Des Moines since 1953. She retired from the therapy department at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in 1979 and was a member of Meredith Drive Reformed Church.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Campbell of Urbandale; two sisters, Freda Weber and Dorothy Carlson, both of Creston; a brother, Kermit Toland of Des Moines; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church or Hospice Kavanagh House.
