The Life of MARY JO GUSTAFSON

Services for Mary Jo Gustafson, 18, of 290 NE Sixtieth Ave. will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Bethany Reformed Church, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Miss Gustafson''s body was found Thursday, December 4th in a wooded area in the 2500 block of Harding Road.  She had been missing since June 19 from the Goodwill West Rehabilitation Center, 2501 Twenty-fourth St.

An autopsy performed by Polk County Medical Examiner Dr. R.C. Wooters was inconclusive, but he said there were no signs of foul play.

Miss Gustafson was a life-long resident of Des Moines.  She was a 1974 graduate of Saydel High School and attended Des Moines Area Community College.  She was a nurses aide at Medicenter of America.

Survivors include her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Walter Gustafson of Des Moines; two brothers, Richard Floyd of Fort Stewart, GA, and Roger Paul at home; two sisters, Mrs. Ann Schneider of the Azores Islands and Judith Kay, at home, and her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Floyd Cross of Des Moines.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the J. Thompson Group Home, 1132 Forty-fourth St.

The body is at Hamilton''s Funeral Home.
