The Life of ROBERT EARL EVANS
Services for Robert E. Evans, 58, of Dalhart, Texas, a former Des Moines resident who died Friday in a car accident in Dodge City, Kansas, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.
Mr. Evans was born in Des Moines and lived here most of his life. He moved to Dalhart two years ago. A graduate of Roosevelt High School, he worked for Southern Pacific Railroad and the Rock Island Railroad. He was a World War II veteran, and a member of Park Avenue Presbyterian Church and Echo Valley Country Club in Des Moines.
Survivors include his wife, Ann; two sons, Robert of Des Moines and Kent of Omaha, NB; two brothers, Edward and Donald Chrisinger, both of Des Moines; a sister, Frances Sheehy of Denver, CO; and one grandchild.
The family suggests that any memorial contibutions be made to Park Avenue Presbyterian Church.
