The Life of FLORENCE O MAFFETT
Florence O. Maffett, 96, of Des Moines, died Saturday, March 22, 2003 at USA Healthcare. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 26 at Staves United Methodist Church, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens.
Florence was born on November 6, 1906 in Des Moines. She was a school teacher in the Des Moines School district for over 40 years. Florence was a member of Union Park Garden Club, Iowa State Education Association, American Association of University Women, and United Methodist Woment. She was also a member of Staves United Methodist Church.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Staves United Methodist Church.
