The Life of HENRY GEORGE DAUGHERTY

Henry George Daugherty, 76, of 3927 E. Jefferson Ave. died of cancer Friday at home.  Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hamilton's Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Daugherty was born in Des Moines and had lived in the area all his life.  He was owner of Daugherty's Transfer and Storage and a Navy veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Theda; two daughters, Sharon Braack of Des Moines and Pamela Raitt of Plano; three sons, Tom, Albert and George, and a brother John, all of Des Moines; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and Monday at the funeral home.
