The Life of ETHEL A MONGAR PENNISTON
Services for Mrs. Ethel A. Penniston, 81, of 4211 Sixty-fifth St., will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Westover Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Penniston died Wednesday at Iowa Methodist Hospital of complications resulting from a broken hip. She had been ill three months.
Mrs. Penniston was born in Clarke County, had lived in Des Moines 60 years and was a retired employee of the Des Moines schools. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Krouse of Des Moines; a son, Richard Mongar of Torrance, CA; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
