The Life of JAMES W GRAY
Jim Gray, 50, a dearly loved husband, father and grandfather, died Thursday, May 6, 2004 at Taylor House in Des Moines. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 10, 2004 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Jim was born the son of Billy and Lucille (Kerringan) Gray on November 25, 1953 in Des Moines. Jim and Susie were married December 9, 1972 and lived in Des Moines most of their lives, moving to Pleasant Hill in 1991.
Jim and Susie enjoyed 31 wonderful years of marriage and were blessed with three beautiful daughters and a granddaughter. Jim worked as an Operations Supervisor for Fiserv in West Des Moines for 21 years and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Jim enjoyed coaching his daughters at East Des Moines softball fields for over ten years and also enjoyed golfing, skiing, playing his guitar, riding his Harley and making his home a place for family and friends to enjoy.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Susie of Pleasant Hill; daughters, Elishia McNeeley (Brad) of Pleasant Hill, Missy Gray of Des Moines and Sheena Gray (Zak Banks) of Des Moines; and granddaughter, Sydney McNeeley.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 9, 2004 at Grandview Park Funeral Home. A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m.
