Carl Schreck Rites Saturday
Services for Carl S. Schreck, 68, of 132 E Holcomb ave.(sic), retired Wabash Railroad baggage-man, will be at noon Saturday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be (sic) Highland Memory Gardens.
Mr. Schreck died of a heart attack Wednesday in Broadlawns Polk County Hospital. He had been in ill health six years. Born in Rowan, he lived in Des Moines for 35 years.
Surviving are his wife, Anna; four daughters, Mrs. Avonell Tilton of Long Beach, Cal., Mrs. Eleanor Rhodes of Norfolk, Va., and Mrs. Caroline Saddoris and Mrs. Jean Ostrand, both of Des Moines; four sons, Kenneth of Des Moines, Charles of Atlanta, Ga., Billie of Lancaster, Penn., and Woodrow of Chula Vista, Cal.; two sister (sic), Mrs. Alice Porter and Mrs. Pearl Lewison, both of Iowa Falls; two brothers, Otto of Atlanta, Ga., and Amos of Des Moines; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
