The Life of MARGRIT BUINING

Margrit Buining, 72, of 1070 50th St. West Des Moines, died of a stroke Thursday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.  Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Fellowship Baptist Church, of which she was a member.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Buining was born in Bern, Switzerland, and had also lived in the Netherlands before moving to Des Moines in 1976.  She was a homemaker and worked with Baptist Mid Missions for more than 40 years.

She is suvived by her husband, Gerrit; six daughters, Elizabeth Crockett of Anderson, IN, Johanna Caraway of St. Louis, Priscilla Johnson of Des Moines, Rhoda Morales of Guatemala City, Guatemala, Deborah Carey of New York City and Rebekah Taylor of Big Bend, WI; a sister, Lily Buhler-Ernst of Thun, Switzerland; a brother, Robert Ernst of Oberhofen, Switzerland; and 11 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Iles Grandview Park Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church.
