The Life of ROBERT LYLE TURNEY
Services for Robert Lyle Turney, 56, of 4459 NE Thirty-fourth St., who died of a heart attack Saturday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grandview Chapel. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Turney was born in Grinnell and had lived in Des Moines for 31 years. He had worked for 30 years at Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. He was a member of the United Rubber Workers Local No. 310 and Staves United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria; a son, Robert of Des Moines; his parents, Vern & Mildred Appleton of Newton; a brother, Roland R. Carter of Kingsley, OK; and a grandson.
Friends may call at Grandview Funeral Home from 3 until 9 p.m. today and Tuesday.
