The Life of VELDA LOUISE QUICK
Services for Mrs. Velda Louise Quick, 55, of 6735 NW Eighth Court, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Saylorville Baptist Church, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Quick died Satruday of a heart attack at Riverview Manor Nursing Center, 701 Riverview St. A lifelong Des Moines resident, Mrs. Quick was a North High School graduate and a member of Saylorville Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Robert D. Quick of Dryden, NY, and Russell W. Quick of Des Moines; one foster daughter, Mrs. Nancy Jacobs of Johnson City, NY; six sisters, Mrs. Gladys Lundstrom of Maxwell; and Mrs. Goldie Cox, Mrs. Beulah Kempton, Christina Carlson, Mrs. Thelma Quick and Mrs. LaVonne Gilbert, all of Des Moines; three brothers, Alva Carlson of Des Moines; Vernon Carlson of Kansas City, MO, and Kenneth Carlson of Ankeny; and two grandchildren.
