The Life of ARTHUR CHESTER THAYER Sr.

Graveside services for Arthur C. Thayer, 91, of 610 Douglas Ave., will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Highland Memory Gardens. Mr. Thayer died of a heart attack Tuesday at Mercy Hospital after a year''s illness. Born in Pulaski, he lived in Des Moines for 50 years and was the retired owner of Thayer Implement Co. He was a member of King David Lodge in Altoona and of the Auburn Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. Surviving are his wife, Rose; a son, Arthur, Jr. of Des Moines, three daughters, Mrs. June Bair and Mrs. Mildred Paulson, both of Des Moines, and Mrs. Dorothy Roewert of Wichita, KS; a sister, Mrs. Ida Andrews of Nevada, IA; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
