The Life of WILBURN ADKINS JR
Wilburn "Butch" Adkins Jr., 62, of 1010 Franklin Ave. died of cancer Thursday at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Adkins, a lifelong Des Moines area resident, was a retired residential and commercial painter and a member of the local painter''s union.
Survivors include three daughters, Lourie Webb of Ankeny, Cindy Baker of Barnes City and Rhonda Torrez of Hampton; two sons, Steve and Bart, both of Des Moines; a brother, Jerry of Polk City; a sister, Mary Kloster of Carlisle; and 11 grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to In-Trust Hospice.
