The Life of RUSSELL JAMES JONES
Russell "Eddie" James Jones, 54, of 2241 NW 71st Place, Ankeny, died of a heart ailment Monday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Ankeny First United Methodist Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Jones, owner of Russ Jones Concrete Co., was born in Knoxville, where he lived 24 years. He spent three years in De Moines and had been an Ankeny resident since 1969.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; a son, Kevin of Ankeny; a daughter, Kristin Jones-Shelton of Des Moines; three sisters, Phyllis Mitchell of Ankeny, Eleanor Ostendorf of Ames, and Mary Kulper of Knoxville; and a brother, Ronald of Ankeny.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
