The Life of CLIFFORD DONALD MORELAND
Clifford “Don” Moreland, 85, died Thursday, December 16, 2010, at Granger Nursing and Rehabilitation in Granger, IA. He was born November 28, 1925, in Des Moines to Clifford D. and Vera Davis Moreland.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, fishing, gardening, attending Johnston Evangelical Free Church, and traveling.
Don is survived by his wife, Mary; children, George (Kay) Moreland, Debbie (Ron) Roby and daughter-in-law, Monika Moreland; step-children, Connie Winders, Nancy (Phil) Vanderah, and Tom (Brenda) Reams; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; sister, Lois Whitehurst; as well as a host of other family members. He was preceded in death by his son, Douglas Moreland; sister, Doreen Wallace; and his parents.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, December 20, 2010, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in loving memory of Don.
