The Life of JOHN L EASLEY

John L. Easley, 70, died December 11, 2004 of lung cancer at home.  Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 15 at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior.  Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

John was born April 16, 1934 in Des Moines, Iowa.  He was a Navy veteran and worked as a meat cuter for the Hy-Vee Grocery Store on East Euclid.  He also worked at Marvin''s and John''s Bait Shop.

John is survived by his wife, Catherine easley; daughters, Dee (Gaylon) Gillman, Edna (Mike) Smith, Ruth Nanette (Bruce) Head, Karla (Chris) Ellington, Ronda (Bob) Nuzum and Korrenia (Steve Nuzum; stepson, James Haus; stepdaughter, Marty Brobst; former wife, Delores Eastley; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; sisters, Cecelia (Richard) Antelman, Maxine (Donald) Bougher, Rita (Paul) Grove and Mary Bowman; brothers, James, David (Denise) and Joe (Janet) Easley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Eastley and Margaret Siek; grandson, Christopher Head; and sister, Margaret Ann.
