The Life of STANDLY ARLAND HUSTED

Standly A. Husted was born July 28, 1937 in Russell, Iowa and passed away December 22, 2006. He was a longtime Des Moines resident.

Standly was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked for two meat packing plants and Colonial Bakery. He was also a carpenter and was most recently employed by A-1 Precision Construction Company until his health forced him to retire.

Standly is survived by his wife, Pauline; six children; two sisters, Dorothy Gardner of Euless, TX and Lola Watkins of Des Moines; a brother, George Husted of Leon, IA; 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
