The Life of ALVIA HOY HUSTED

Alvia H. Husted, 78, of 2712 Raccoon St. Died of cancer Tuesday at Des Moines General Hospital.  Services will be graveside at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Husted was born in Russell and lived in Des Moines most of his life, retiring from Swift and Co., now Monfort Inc.  He was a member of the Amalgamated Meat Cutters of America.

Surviving are his wife, LaVaun; three sons, George Husted of Norwalk and Joseph Leabo and Standly Husted, both of Des Moines; three daughters, Roma Israel of Mesa, Ariz., Lola Watkins of Manteca, Calif., and Dorothy Gardner of Euless, Texas; two sisters, Ruby Hall of Novelty, Mo., and Wanda Martin of Des Moines; 25 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Hamilton''s Funeral Home.
