The Life of ERNEST CULVER GAMBLE

Services for Ernest C. Gamble, 60, of 3423 First St., who died of cancer Friday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Highland Park Christian Church.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens.

Born in Decatur County, Mr. Gamble lived in Des Moines for 33 years.  He operated the Park Fair Hobby Shop after retiring from Deere and Company in 1978.  He was an elder at the Highland Park Christian Church and Past Master of the Auburn Masonic Lodge.

Mr. Gamble also belonged to the Des Moines Consistory, Za-Ga-Zig Shrine, the Highland Park Businessmen''s Club, Civil War Round Table and Parks Festival Board.  He taught adult education photography classes.

Survivors include his wife, Mariam; two sons, John and Dan of Des Moines; three daughters, Jean Sparks of Albuquerque, N.M., Joan Miller and Christine Cunningham, both of Des Moines; a brother, Ralph of Des Moines; and twelve grandchildren.

The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to the Highland Park Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.

Friends may call after noon today at the Highland Park Funeral Home.
