The Life of LESTER DARNELL
Services for Lester P. Darnell, 87, of New Oaks Care Center, 3806 Easton Blvd. will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Darnell died of a heart ailment Saturday at Broadlawns Medical Center.
He was born in Stahl, MO, and lived in Des Moines most of his life, retiring as a self-employed cabinetmaker.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl; a daughter, Doris Nolan; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 8 a.m. today at the funeral home.
