The Life of LOREN C SCHULING

Loren C. Schuling, 91, of the 1500 block of Southeast Virginia Ave. died of a heart ailment Monday at Hospice Kavanagh House. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Private burial will be today at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Schuling had lived in Des Moinse all his life. He worked for Brown Camp Hardware before retiring. He most recently was a truck driver with Safeway Scaffolding and a member of the Teamsters and a former union steward. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He is survived by two daughters, Shirley Elifritz of Des Moines and Kathleen Butkovich of Broomfield, CO; a son, Edward of Grimes; a stepson, Charles Elings, Jr. of Council Bluffs; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Kavanagh House. Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
