The Life of DAYTON EBBEN LANG JR
Dayton Lang, 76, of Winthrop, died Monday, February 16, 2009 at his home. Dayton was born April 9, 1939 in Charles City, Iowa, the son of Dayton E. Lang and Joan W. Thomas. He worked at Delavan Manufacturing for over 30 years. On June 17, 2005 he married Evelyn Parks. Dayton is survived by his wife, Evelyn; son, Robin Hakanson of Ankeny; grandson, Joshua Meeker; granddaughter, Nicole Meeker of Des Moines; step-son, Bill (Deb) of Rowley; very special friends, Ariel and Austin Buhr and Greg Brimmer. He was preceded in death by parents; his first wife, Lois; daughter, Dee; and brothers, David and Franscis John. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. His body will be cremated. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in loving memory of Dayton.
