The Life of GORDON K GERINGER

Gordon K. Geringer was a loving husband and caring father.  He was born in Wolf Point, Montana and moved to central Iowa in 1939 with his first wife Viola.

He worked at the Ordnance Plant where he met his second wife Philamena.  He was an entrepreneur, owning his own photography studio in Montana and Kerry''s restaurant for twenty three years in Des Moines Iowa.

He had a great concern for animals and served as President of the Des Moines Animal Rescue League.

Preceded in death by his father, H. A. Geringer; mother, Ruth Zumsted Grayson; brothers, Alton and Graydon Geringer; and sister, Madge Johnson.

He is survived by his spouse, Philamena Geringer; sons, Kerry (Pam) Geringer of Ames, IA and Michael (Ruth) Geringer of Nixa, MO; daughters, Sandy (Harold) Miller of Springfield, MO, Jan Geringer of Des Moines, IA; cousin, Rita Walter; sister, Betty Carpenter; grandchildren, James (Kendra) Miller, Michele (Jason) Dunn, Nanette Miller, Ryan (Casey) Geringer, Jennifer Geringer, Kate Geringer, and Eric Hill and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.  Family will visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday evening, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Animal Rescue League.
