The Life of DELORES DEE MCCLINTIC
Delores McClintic, 77, of Carlisle, was welcomed home by her Savior and Friend, Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center. She was born June 12, 1933, in Des Moines, to Gerald and Margaret Preston. Delores worked in advertising at Pioneer for 17 years until her retirement in 1985. Delores enjoyed life and had a wonderful sense of humor. She was well-liked and was the type of person who never met a stranger. She greatly enjoyed crocheting and other crafts and her cooking and fudge were legendary. But above all, her family truly was the beat of her heart.
Delores is survived by her children, Denise (Carlos); Mark; and Ronda (Kent); four grandchildren, Melissa, Kaylena, C.J., and Xander; and one great-grandson, Jose. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, and her grandparents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines. Funeral will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at First Assembly of God Church, 2725 Merle Hay Road in Des Moines, followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
