The Life of SHIRLEY DARLENE ZIMMERMAN
Shirley Zimmerman, 78, passed away January 3, 2011, at Marquis Place in Elkhorn, NE.
Shirley was born August 3, 1932, in Johnston, IA to James and Maude Eaton. She retired in 1997 from the Convolescent Home in Johnston. Shirley was a member of Wagon Wheels Square Dance Club and was an avid Country Western fan.
Shirley is survived by her son, Steven (Sherri) Zimmerman of Omaha, NE; brothers, Joe (Jane) Eaton and Warren (Maxine) Litchkey; sisters, Sharon (Ronald) Phelps and Norma Jean Borders; grandchildren, Stephanie, Shawn (Ashley) and Scott; and great-grandchildren, Quinn and Kaitlynn. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billie; brothers, Richard, Robert, Tom, Wesley and Lewis.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
