The Life of VERDA LEE BOGATTO
Verda Bogatto, 87, died Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House in Des Moines. She was born May 28, 1923 in Des Moines to Budd and Daisy Glew.
Verda was 1 of 1,500 women honored at the Rosie the Riveter Memorial in Richmond, California for her contributions during WWII. She had a love for family, friends, and chocolate.
Verda is survived by her daughter, Sue (Allan) Hudson; grandchildren, Matthew (Erin) Hudson and Hollee (Jim) Schneiderman; great-grandsons, Sawyer and Jack Hudson, and Maxwell Bing; and two sisters, Mary Rector and Eilleen Zeibert.
A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Avenue, Des Moines. Friends may visit with family from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Union Park Baptist Church Youth Group in loving memory of Verda.
