The Life of DARRELL D ABBOTT
Darrell Abbott, 82, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Iowa Methodist Hospital from a long battle with COPD.
Darrell was born on November 16, 1925 in Boone, IA. Darrell retired from Brown Engineering as a Mechanical Engineer. He served in the U.S. Navy.
Darrell is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy; daughter, Debra (Mike) Marasco, Cindy (Brian) Freeman, and Kim Silver; grandchildren, Genny, Amy, Mike, Justin, and Will; great-grandchildren, Kylee and Courtney.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2008 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines; burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family will visit with friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to The American Lung Association in loving memory of Darrell.
