The Life of VIRGINIA CAROL GRAFTON
Virginia C. Grafton, 85 passed away on Monday at the Taylor
Hospice House in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 15, 2010 at Staves Memorial United Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m. with burial to follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Virginia lived in Des Moines most of her life, and was a program assistant for I.T.A. She was a member of Staves Memorial United Methodist Church for many, years. She enjoyed bowling, tap dancing, and Prairie Meadows.
Virginia is survived by two sons Larry (Pam) Grafton, James Grafton, and daughter Laurie (Allen) Sweat, nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Four sisters, Charlene Thomas, Mary Jane (Bob) Gilmore, Kathy(John) Eshelman, and Barbara Hostettler, two brothers Jay Thomas, and Elbert (Theresa) Haines.
She is preceded in death by her husband Tony, and son Thomas two grandchildren Scott, and Stacy Grafton also one brother Max and sister Marilyn.
A Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, July 14, at Grandview Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m.
