The Life of KATHRYN L KRANTZ
Kathryn Krantz, 90 of Des Moines, passed away Monday. September 24, 2007 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
She was born July 2, 1917 to James and Amy Armstong in Barclay, KS. “Kay”and her husband,“Ed” had been owners and operators of Krantz Brothers, Inc. She was a member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Auburn Chapter and The Daughters of the Nile. Her greatest love was enjoying all activities with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her three loving children; Jim Krantz of Des Moines, Susan (James) Foley of Harrison, NY, and Steven (Susan) Krantz of Johnston. She leaves eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Loal Stewart and her brother Rex Armstrong.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank “Ed” Krantz, daughter, Janice Krantz and two sisters, Mary Weeks and Bonnie Buckroyd.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Thursday September 27, 2007 at Highland Park Presbyterian Church with family greeting friends at the church from 12 Noon to service time.
Memorial contributions can be made to her church or Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation.
