The Life of GARTH B THOMAS
Garth B. Thomas, 77, died peacefully, Monday, November 26, 2007 at Kavanagh House on 56th. Garth was born December 19, 1929 in N.E. Iowa. On June 5th, 1951 he was united in marriage to Betty J. Krambeer. He attended University of Dubuque and continued his accounting at Drake University. Garth was employed as CFO at Tone Brothers Spices for 43 years, retiring in 1998. His hobbies were wood working, golf, fishing and he was an avid Hawkeye fan. Garth is survived by his wife, Betty, son Mark (Belinda), grandchildren: Jeremy (Lisa and daughter, Lindsay) Brown, Crystal (Brian) Douglas and (Marissa), Melissa (Corey) Allen. He was preceded in death by daughter, Connie Enfield. Funeral services will be held, 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 30, 2007 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 N.W. 60th Ave., Des Moines with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Kavanaugh House on 56th or the John Stoddard Cancer Center.
