The Life of KATHRYN ELIZABETH ZUCKER
Katie Zucker, 20, died Wednesday, December 29, 2010, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident just outside of Fort Collins, Colorado. She was born September 3, 1990, in Des Moines to Thomas and Jana (Wickman) Zucker.
She was a junior at Colorado State University, majoring in business. Katie had a passion for her three horses and was currently preparing and training a horse for the Reining Futurities in Oklahoma City, OK. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, her dog, Kodi, and riding motorcycles.
Katie is survived by her dad, Tom Zucker; sister, Carolyn; mom, Jana Wickman, brother, Kadence Edwards; as well and many grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., Thursday, January 6, 2011, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family will visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Iowa State University-Large Animal Veterinary School in loving memory of Katie.
