The Life of SCOTT ALAN BELCHER
Scotty Belcher, Jr., 20, died Sunday, January 24, 2010. He was born December 27, 1989 in Des Moines to Scott Belcher and Johneen "Pooh" Carr.
He enjoyed jet skiing, riding motorcycles, going to concerts, golfing, Eastside night at the fair, and backyard football and baseball with his family (especially when he won). Scotty was the kind of person who would do anything for you. He especially loved spending time with his daughter, family, and friends.
He is survived by his parents, Johneen "Pooh" and Richard Carr II, Scott and Mary Belcher; his daughter, Aubree Belcher; siblings, Michael Carr, Courtney Belcher, Zach Carr and Justin Carr; his grandmothers, Patricia Belcher, Sharon Brady and Carlene Carr; his great-grandmothers, Paula Canady and Helen Belcher; his many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold Belcher, Jr. and Richard Carr; and his uncle, Eddie Walte.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2010 at Lutheran Church of the Cross, 1701 8th Street SW in Altoona. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. A visitation at the church will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2010.
