The Life of EVANGELINE ESTER SEYMOUR

Evangeline Ester (Madison) Seymour, 97, Catoosa, Oklahoma, passed from this life Wednesday, April 27, 2010. Eve was born in Independence, Iowa, on February 3, 1914, to Willis Harter and Ada (VanEmmerik) Harter. She worked in the banking business for many years, retiring as a bank teller from the bank in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Eve loved to shop and sew. She would purchase clothes and take them apart and re-sew them. Eve enjoyed the times that she could spend with her beloved family. She was of the Methodist faith. Eve’s great smile and beautiful attitude will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Willis and Ada Harter; husband Galen Seymour; and brothers Alfred, Roy, David, and Marlin Harter. Eve is survived by daughters Janet Lossner and Carol Crawley and husband Roger of Des Moines, Iowa; sons Marvin West and wife Mary of Terlton, Oklahoma, and Robert Madison of Des Moines, Iowa; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends. Services for Eve will be scheduled for a later date in Des Moines, Iowa. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service of Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
