The Life of JEFFREY THOMAS OWENS
Jeffrey Thomas Owens, 54, lived a very happy life until September 7th, 2007 when he died of a heart attack and went on to be with his mother, Shirley Owens and sister, Julie Reams. Jeff enjoyed his job with Goodwill Industries for the past 18 years. He loved to travel with his brother, going to Florida and Las Vegas. He took pride in all of his Special Olympic medals for golfing. His laughter will be missed by his father and step-mother, Ed and Della Owens; his brother and best friend, Joe Owens and his wife, Heather; his favorite sisters, Janilla Jordan-Mendenhall, Jennifer Bingham and Joy Bainter, and their spouses Sterling, Rick and Mark, and his many loved nieces and nephews. He will be missed deeply by his dearest friend who brought much joy to his life, Kathy Beveredge. The family will greet friends from 2-4pm Sunday, September 9, 2007 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Goodwill Industries of Central Iowa or the Special Olympics in loving memory of Jeff.
