The Life of THOMAS RICHARD REED
Thomas Richard Reed was born on November 4, 1930, in Osceola, IA, to Charles Ellis and Sarah Belle (McGrance) Reed. Thomas was a Major in the US Air Force, and retired after 24 years of service. On February 13, 1993, Thomas married Guadalue Lozano in Katy. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, in Katy, where he participated in Happy Hearts.
Thomas Richard Reed passed away on Monday, March 26, 2007, at the age of 76 years.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Lupe Reed of Katy, TX; children, James Reed of Katy, TX, Thomas C. (Tulay) Reed of Memphis, TN, Peggy Hopkins of Des Moines, IA, James (Joyce) Anderson of North Richland Hills, TX, Jody Hart of Ankeny, IA, Edie (Steve) Boran of Houston, TX, Lynn (Samuel) Crabb of Katy, TX, Gil (Pam) Horton of College Station, TX; 24 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Margaret (Hummel) Reed; brothers, Ronald Reed and William Reed; and a stepson, Albert Montalvo.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel where a Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.
