The Life of EARL EIRVIN STANDLEY
Earl Eirvin Standley, age 86, died June 25, 2010, in Des Moines, IA. He was born May 15, 1924 to Leonard and Ellen Standley in Caswell County, NC. Earl served proudly in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
He enjoyed his dog Dottie, Bowling, Golf, Horseshoes and his grandchildren
Earl is survived by his wife Elizabeth of Des Moines, IA; son’s, Robert (Barbara) of Summerville, SC and Michael (Pam) of Neola, IA. He was preceded in death by a son, Grover “Dusty.” Earl is also survived by 4 granddaughters, Tammy, Michelle, Jennifer and Lori, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
Graveside Services will be 11:00 am on Monday, June 28, 2010 at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, Des Moines, IA. Friends may visit with family, Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 161 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines, IA. Per Earl’s request, please dress casual for the graveside service.
