The Life of DORENE RAMONA OLSON
Dorene R. Olson, 73, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at Ankeny Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Friday, September 25, 2009 at Capitol Hill Lutheran Church, 511 Des Moines St Des Moines, IA, 50309, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Dorene was born October 30, 1935 to Ray and Dorothy Sargent in Des Moines. She worked for Crescent Chevrolet for many years and was a volunteer at Mercy Capitol Internal Medicine Clinic.
Survivors include her daughters, Dr. Leatrice Olson of West Des Moines, Sandra (Dale) Webb of Des Moines and Elaine Oldes of Ankeny; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jacob) Childs of Ankeny, Mindy (Matthew) Davis of Runnells and William (Katherine) Oldes of Pleasant Hill; great grandchildren, Tyler, Alyssa and Grace; and brother Larry (Carol) Sargent of Urbandale. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Bill Olson; brother, William Sargent and granddaughter, Sheila Oldes.
