The Life of TERRY GLENN ASCHAN Sr.
Terry G. Aschan, Sr., 77, was born March 21, 1934, in Des Moines and died Tuesday, May 10, 2011.
Terry served in the National Guard. He was the supervisor of the bindery department for Wright Printing Company, was the service manager for Toro Service Center and worked at the Days Inn later in life. Terry was a member of Capitol Hill Christian Church and the Westgate and Eastgate Masonic Lodge. He belonged to the Za Ga Zig Shrine and enjoyed square dancing.
Terry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret Aschan; Terry (Peggy) Aschan Jr., Mark Aschan, Eugene Aschan and Kevin (Mary) Aschan; eleven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and beloved friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Inez (Patterson) Aschan; son, Kent Aschan; great-granddaughter, Casey Aschan; and brothers, Carl, Ted, and Larry Aschan.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2011, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family will greet visitors from 12 to 2 p.m., Friday prior to services at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Terry.
