The Life of ROBERT WILLIAM BOHMKE
Robert William Bohmke, 54, of 3600 E. 39th Court died Saturday of a respiratory ailment at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Bohmke was born in Keystone and lived in Brunswick, Maine before moving to Des Moines in 1977. He worked for Midwest Plastics and for QuikTrip. He retired from the US Navy in 1977 as an aviation storekeeper chief.
Survivors include his wife, Margery; a son, Michael; and two daughters, Melinda Bohmke and Melissa Osborn, all of Des Moines; two sisters, Pat Hills of Des Moines and Jean Bohmke of Altoona; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call on the family from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League.
