The Life of VICTOR GRANT CHRISTENSEN

Victor G. Christensen passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.  Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. 

Victor lived in Des Moines, was a retired truck driver, and former member of Teamsters 147.  He was a Navy veteran of World War II, and enjoyed stock car races and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughters, Connie (Mark) Chartrand of Altoona and Debbie (Dave) Cummins of Altoona; his sons, Steve (Vicki) Christensen of Maxwell, Dave Christensen of Woden and Gary (Melody) Christensen of Des Moines; his brother, Harry Christensen of Coon Rapids; his companion, Mary Moore of Des Moines; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold and Harvey; two daughters, Vickie and Rita; and a great-granddaughter, Candice Cummins.

Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, September 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
