The Life of VESTA ENNIS DAVIS
Services for Mrs. Vesta E. Davis, 71, of 3505 S.W. Twelfth Place, who died of a liver ailment Tuesday at Iowa Methodist Hospital, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis, a sales clerk at Younkers store before her retirement three years ago, had been ill 2 1/2 years. Born at Norwalk, she lived in Stuart before moving here 50 years ago.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd and the Younkers Twenty-year Club.
Surviving are her husband, Arthur G. Davis; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Brightman of Des Moines, and Mrs. Norma Jane Murphy of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a son, Melvin A. of Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. Etta Perkins of Fort Dodge; a brother, Leslie Driscoll of Arlington, Va., eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
