The Life of NANCY KAY MCEWEN
Nancy Kay McEwen, 52, died Thursday, February 1, 2007, at Lutheran Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 5, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Highland Park Presbyterian Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Nancy was born December 1, 1954, in Des Moines, to Walter and Laura McEwen. In 1962, Nancy went to live at the Woodward State Hospital and School. In 1993, she moved back to Des Moines, living in the group home sponsored by Bethphage, and then The Mosaic Foundation. Nancy enjoyed looking at catalogs, listening to music and visiting with her family.
Nancy is survived by her parents, Walter and Laura, Des Moines; her sisters, Phyllis (Bob) Kaldenberg, Winterset; Alice McEwen, Waco, TX; Betty McEwen (Bill King), Omaha, NE; and Joyce (Dennis) Dutton, Elkhart, IA; six nieces and nephews, and thirteen great-nieces and nephews. Also missing Nacy are the staff and residents of her Mosaic home.
Memorials may be made to the Mosaic Foundation or the Highland Park Presbyterian Church.
