The Life of MERRILL J SULLIVAN

Merrill J. "Sully" Sullivan, 65, of 3307 E. 25th Ct. died of cancer Sunday at home.  Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hamilton's Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Sullivan, born in Albia, ahd lived in Marshalltown before moving to Des Moines in 1981.  He was a retired engineer with Northwestern Bell, a member of the Telephone Pioneers, and an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Patty; a son, Patrick of Maxwell; a daughter, Paula Wyllie of Marshalltown; a stepson, Mark Gatliff of Germantown, WI; tow stepdaughters, Lisa Hashman of Des Moines and Kimberly Gatliff of Iowa City; three brothers, Bill of Albia, Gary of Bettendorf, and Jack of Melbourne, FL; and 13 grandchildren.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
