The Life of JOHN L MAXFIELD

John L. Maxfield, 57, of the 2900  block of Hubbell Ave. died of a heart ailment Friday at home.  The body was cremated and memroial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home.  Burial of the cremains will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Maxfield had lived in Des Moines all his life.  He was a retired book binder with R.R. Donnelley and Sons and a member of Graphic Communications Union and Save the Males Bike Club.  He enjoyed bike riding and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; a daughter, Sandi Maxfield of Des Moines; a son, Todd of Seattle; his stepmother, Adda Maxfield of Urbandale; a sister, Mary Sledge of West Des Moines; and a brother, Mark of Melcher-Dallas.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Animal Rescue League of Iowa. Inc.
